Professional History
I’ve had a life-long passion for music and technology, with a large part of my working life focused on joining those two passions. I’ve worked regularly as a Record Producer since 2008, and also had a short-lived, but very intense stint in the Video Game industry when I worked for Microsoft on the Halo franchise.
Around the time I moved to Portland in 2010, I also started to build a hobby of making classic cocktails. I loved learning about the history of the craft and enjoyed recreating recipes from the late 1800s and early 1900s. After some difficult years in the tech industry, I made a gamble and left a financially stable position and started bartending and running a home studio out of my garage. In 2016 I started Husk Recording and consistently worked with local bands until the pandemic in 2020.
As the dust settled and I was able to work as a bartender again, I worked on building my own cocktail brand. This initially started as a residency at a local restaurant, and eventually I branched out on my own and hosted a series of pop-ups with Belle Epoque Pies called “Pizza + Drinks”. The reputation I gained lead me to managing bar programs around town and joining the highly-regarded team at Malpractice.
Musically, I’m the bass player and producer for local band Caicedo. This allows me to practice my craft but also focus on my bartending career in tandem. In 2024 we released our debut record Pasara, and in 2026 we are investing a lot of our time on writing the follow-up, likely releasing in 2027.
